The Minister of Justice submitted the proposal for disciplinary proceedings against Rusinova - 1

My proposal to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the acting administrative head of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office Emilia Rusinova was submitted. This was said at a briefing by Justice Minister Andrey Yankulov, quoted by dariknews.bg.

He explained the arguments for the proposal.
"There were two trips made by Ms. Rusinova in the same car with Petyo Petrov - Euroto and Kristiyan Hristov. This happened around June and August 2021, when the story with the "Eight Dwarfs" has already been publicly known for about a year. In the summer of 2021, the prosecutor's office already has information about the "Eight Dwarfs" case. This information is not only officially known to the prosecutor's office, but is also public to everyone," the minister said.

According to the minister, it is worrying that a deputy of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office - Sofia has such close contact with persons who are being investigated by the lower prosecutor's office.
At that time, in addition to the activities of Petyo Petrov - Euroto and Kristiyan Hristov being widely known, Ms. Rusinova held the position of deputy administrative head of the Sofia Appellate Prosecutor's Office, Yankulov also noted.

In addition to the two trips of Prosecutor Rusinova with Petyo Petrov - Euroto and Kristiyan Hristov, there is other information that shows that these are not isolated cases, isolated contacts. With the same car that Emilia Rusinova and Kristiyan Hristov crossed the border, Kristiyan Hristov and Petyo Petrov crossed the border multiple times in the same car - either together, with other persons, or separately. This happened in the same period, Yankulov explained.
I interpret this as confirmation that these are not isolated contacts, but long-term relationships between the relevant persons. This leads to the conclusion that there is a disciplinary violation. And accordingly, I have proposed the initiation of disciplinary proceedings by the prosecutor's college to impose the most severe disciplinary punishment. The decision must be made by the prosecutor's college of the Supreme Judicial Council, the Minister of Justice also said.
