The Ministry of Interior gave details about the case of the driver who blocked traffic on the Hemus Motorway - 1

A truck driver “stuck“ in the Sofia-bound tube of the “Vitinya“ tunnel on the “Hemus“ Motorway and made traffic difficult.
He was offered free roadside assistance to pull him out of the tunnel, but he refused it and explained that he wanted his own roadside assistance, which had to come from the other side of the country.
The driver explained that his boss would not pay for the roadside assistance if it was not from a specific company. Here we emphasize that the man refused the free assistance offered to him, for which no one would need to pay.

This was published on his Facebook page by Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Georgi Kandev about the case from earlier today, in which a driver deliberately blocked the pipe to Sofia of the "Vitinya" tunnel on the "Hemus" highway. Here are more of the explanations of the Secretary General:

A report was drawn up against the driver under the Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and by the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration". A check has been scheduled for the technical condition of the truck.
The man has been detained for up to 24 hours. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
At the moment, the man refuses to give an explanation for his actions.
The fact that this is happening on a day with intensive travel in the country and during rush hour raises serious doubts about intentional actions aimed at hindering traffic. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will use all available resources to clarify the circumstances of the case and establish whether there was intentional sabotage.
