A 14-year-old child is in danger of death after a serious accident on the road between Karnobat and Aytos. The incident occurred on Easter at around 01:07, in the section between the junctions for the villages of Klikach and Chukarka.
A car with a Plovdiv registration, driven by a 24-year-old man from Karnobat, lost control due to driving at an inappropriate speed on wet asphalt. The car went off the roadway, hit the guardrail, then returned to the road and crashed into a car with a Burgas registration moving in the right lane.
Four people were injured as a result of the impact. The most serious is the condition of a 14-year-old boy, who has a skull fracture and is admitted to the intensive care unit of the University Hospital - Burgas in a coma and with life-threatening injuries.
A 7-year-old child suffered a lower leg injury, was examined and released for home treatment. A 35-year-old man has a chest injury, also not life-threatening, and a 33-year-old woman has general injuries, and refused an examination.
The accident also caused serious material damage to the road infrastructure - nine guardrails and eight boundary stakes were damaged. The causes of the accident are being clarified.
