The National Revenue Agency and the Consumer Protection Commission will announce current data from inspections for price increases, BNT reports. Last week, the revenue agency announced that in the first days of April alone, 150 commercial establishments were inspected for unjustified price increases.
The agency's employees have drawn up 1,100 acts and over 400 punitive decrees. The total amount of fines amounts to over 1 million euros.
Mass inspections in the country began in October last year in connection with the introduction of the euro in our country. Since then, tax authorities have carried out inspections in nearly 14 thousand commercial establishments, the largest number being food stores and restaurants.
Massive inspections for compliance with the Law on the Introduction of the Euro in our country will continue in the coming months.
