The European Parliament's Legal Affairs Committee has rejected the request to lift the immunity of MP Nikola Minchev.
This decision is not final and must be voted on in plenary, "Nova TV" specified.
The committee supported the lifting of the immunity of an Italian MEP from the European People's Party, who is being investigated in the same case.
The request came after a large-scale investigation into lobbying practices and receiving gifts from a private company began in 2025.
