People's representatives from the Committee on Legal Affairs gave the green light for the election of an interim government with the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Audit Chamber Dimitar Glavchev, BNR reports.
In just 15 minutes of sitting with 13 votes "for" and 3 "against" and 3 "abstained" they accepted in the final provisions of the BNB Law that he has the right to suspend his powers while he holds the position of acting Prime Minister and to return to his post afterwards.
During this period, he will entrust the execution of his powers to his deputy.
Voting in the first reading also means that there is no longer talk of going on unpaid leave, but of the suspension of powers (for the Chairman of the Audit Chamber) and powers (for the representatives of the BNB and the Ombudsman).< /p>
With the amendments, the same conditions will apply to the powers of the governor and deputy governors of the BNB, the vice-chairmen of the Audit Chamber, the ombudsman and his deputy – these are the persons who, according to the changes in the Constitution, can be appointed by the president as acting prime minister.
The parliamentary group of "Vazrazhdane" voted against, and the representatives of PP-DB Boyko Rashkov, ITN Grozdan Karadjov and BSP Smilyana Nitova abstained.
At this hour the extraordinary session of the National Assembly begins. The only point in it is acceptance of the changes already approved by the Legal Commission.
