„There are no forbidden partnerships, but a partnership should inspire trust, support, and not divide society. I am afraid that there is a danger that a bilateral coalition will cause processes of division in society.“
This was stated by the deputy chairman of GERB Tomislav Donchev in “Face to face“ on bTV in response to the question whether GERB would drive only with DPS.
„Certainly, after everything that is happening, it becomes more and more difficult, but above all it depends on the result of the elections. I don't want to rule anything out. Most of all, I want Bulgaria to have a stable government, and besides the issues of regulators and reform of the judicial system, there are a lot of other important things that need to happen in our country. They are important, but they cannot exhaust the agenda of public policies”, added Donchev.
According to Tomislav Donchev, the latter cannot usurp all power with the support of the former.
„There were at least two offers, including the last one from Mr. Denkov to keep the cabinet in its composition, with only a rotation between him and Maria Gabriel. That is, the Minister of the Interior is nice when you rule and the government is yours, and he is not nice when he will be in another government. "I'm losing my logic a bit," he commented.
