"We must be objective and correct - while I was a minister, Kalin Stoyanov behaved as a worthy, loyal employee. I have no serious comments regarding the performance of official tasks on his part". This is what Boyko Rashkov, PP-DB MP, former Minister of Internal Affairs, told the BNR.
"He met the criteria to be the director of GDBOP.
An employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, however, can be a good operational worker, be a strict executor of instructions, but not be able to assume the functions of the political position of a minister. The difference is significant".
Rashkov commented on Prime Minister Denkov's words that he had not heard from the Minister of the Interior for a long time and reminded that the Prime Minister lost his trust in Stoyanov, but was unable to remove him from his position due to the lack of support in the parliament.

Boiko Rashkov analyzes the fact that Prime Minister Denkov was unable to contact Chief Secretary Zhivko Kotsev for hours, who today withdrew his resignation.
"To me, this is not normal behavior. It is about a senior professional position in the Ministry of the Interior.
Distrust has been shown towards the Prime Minister, which is strange to me – not to notify the general secretary either by the chairman of DANS or by the minister of the interior".

He commented on the statement of the general secretary Zhivko Kotsev that he resigned because of "psychological and moral pressure".
"The lack of interaction between the political and professional leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has a negative impact. The professional activity, if it is personified by the chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, does not find support in the political leadership. My information is that the distance was established by Minister Kalin Stoyanov, i.e. he bypasses the Chief Secretary in every way".
