A serious accident with a small child occurred this afternoon near Vratsa – under unclear circumstances at this stage. During a game in the “The Tower” a one and a half year old child was shot in the head, bTV reported. Television footage shows the child being transported by military helicopter.
The firearm was in the hands of a 12-year-old boy. At this stage, it is clear that the shot was fired from an air rifle owned by the boy's grandfather.
A signal was immediately sent to 112 and the injured child was transported to the Vratsa hospital. There, the medics quickly established that the wound was incompatible with his life and asked Sofia for help.
A few minutes ago, a military helicopter landed in the yard of the "Hristo Botev" hospital to transport the injured child to the "Pirogov" hospital. At this stage, it is only clear that the injured child is the first child for the family from the village of Gallatin. His parents are both 20 years old and were visiting their relatives in the “Kulata” quarter.
