The condition of the 2-year-old child, shot in the head, remains critical, the hospital said “Pirogov”, bTV reported.
„The child is placed in intensive care for intensive treatment and active monitoring. Neurosurgical treatment of the injury was performed. "He remains on mechanical ventilation," the medical facility said.
The little child was shot yesterday in the “Kulata” in Vratsa. At first, the parents said it fell from a chair. However, during the examination at the hospital with a scanner, it was found that there was a bullet in the head. Police later said the weapon – air rifle, was in the hands of an 11-year-old boy. The rifle is owned by the boy's grandfather.
A signal was immediately sent to 112 and the injured child was transported to the Vratsa hospital. There, the medics quickly established that the wound was incompatible with his life and asked Sofia for help. The shot child was transported yesterday to “Pirogov” intubated and unconscious.
