„The conflict in Ukraine, the conflict in Israel, Iran and the Houthis attacking US ships is a common axis of attack. Its purpose is to distract the Western powers as much as possible. Thus, the possibility of having a normal outcome of these events at each of these points is weakened”.
This was stated by the co-chairman of PP-DB Kiril Petkov to NOVA.
Petkov made this conclusion after a conversation in Davos with “one of the high-ranking people in Yemen”. Asked about the role of the Houthis, the Yemeni expert said: “What Houthis, they came from the Russian paramilitary structure, made camps together with Iranian weapons, started shooting at American ships, used our personnel.
According to him, last night's shelling by Iran was a victory for Israel, because all the missiles and drones were intercepted by the Israeli air defense.
Regarding the internal political situation and the photos with the chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, with persons accused of smuggling, Petkov said: “the big problem is when the investigation is a function of someone's resignation”.
„There is something illogical about the presence in one room of the chief prosecutor, head of KPCONPI, prosecutor from SGP and her deputy together with chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is pressure on Zhivko Kotsev to resign, Petkov believes. He did not respond to comments that the chief secretary had sought out the attorney general himself.
The co-chairman of the PP called for the investigation of the case of Zhivko Kotsev. “We will support anyone who is a victim of the club of the existing instrument of the prosecution”, the co-chairman of the PP explained the support for the former chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to him, if Kotsev had not filed a report, the photos with money and a poodle would not have come out.
Petkov sought former interior minister Boyko Rashkov to clarify the situation.
