The parties and the political model have been seriously discredited by the recent scandals surrounding the official cabinet and in the field of security, as well as from ineffective constitutional amendments that have created more problems.

Political scientist Assoc. Maria Pirgova and political psychologist Prof. Antoineta Hristova united around this opinion in the Euronews Primetime studio.

The political model received a serious blow with the constitutional amendments. The parties in their struggles for power reached incredible scandals.

“The parties and the parliamentary model cannot control the institutions. There is doubt about the fairness of the elections,“, added Associate Professor Pirgova.

According to her, the requests for a vote of no confidence in the caretaker government is a sign that some political forces do not have confidence in the successful implementation of its main task – holding fair elections. “This is a serious political action, although there are no legal grounds due to loopholes in the amendments to the Constitution, which so far have not been particularly effective,”, she also said. And he warned that this could further reduce voter turnout.

According to Prof. Hristova, the requests for a vote of no confidence in the official cabinet is a very clear message from the political forces, which do not aim for a concrete result as much as to show that the changes in the Constitution are poorly tailored.

“This is a message – do you see how the Constitution does not work and what problems can arise in the formation of a caretaker government”, she added.

I think there is hardly anyone who doubts that the amendments have led to more problems that cannot be controlled and fixed during a campaign than to solutions.

“We are really facing a serious political crisis. Parliament can no longer be legitimate to manage the processes. This needs to be thought about very seriously, because it seems to me that the only solution from now on is some kind of round table or some kind of event to talk about these problems and give solutions. There is a total lack of trust in the political parties”, Prof. Hristova also said.
