People's disappointment is very great and it is possible that significant changes will take place during the election campaign.
Vasil Tonchev from sociological agency "Sova Haris" commented this to BNR.
In his words, people expect something new and different. And there is nothing new on the horizon, he added and predicted:
"This is likely to lead to skepticism and refusal to vote for a significant portion. In my opinion, between 2 and 2.5 million voters will go to the polls, which is less than in previous elections.< /strong> With lower activity, only the hard cores will respond, which means that parties with developed structures will have a significant advantage.
According to him, a possible unification around Vanya Grigorova and Maya Manolova is something new and different, but it is not a phenomenon that will be able to cause a huge wave towards itself. However, according to him, such a union would have the potential to enter the next parliament. The sociologist expressed the opinion that we cannot expect a unity around Cornelia Ninova. There were about a million left-wing voters 5 years ago, and now there are less than 250,000, he emphasized and explained that a large part of these people will be looking for a different representation.
Vasil Tonchev expects a movement from the parliamentaryly represented parties to the non-parliamentarily represented ones. At the moment, there is no subject, neither on the left nor on the right, that manages to attract the interest of the voters to a large extent, he noted in an interview for the program "Before all".
"At least 300,000 voters will leave the big parties and go to the smaller parties. People are looking for something different."
According to him, probably DPS and "Revival" they will maintain the level they had because they are now in better condition. With PP-DB there will be a decline, but they will not collapse, he believes.
It is out of the question that GERB and DPS will form a government by themselves, Tonchev is categorical. However, it is possible in combination with other entities to enter a majority, he admitted, seeing an opportunity in ITN, PP and DB.
The president will appear on the political scene when the international situation is favorable, said the sociologist. According to him, now the situation is too inappropriate for him. His theses in a year will perhaps become leading internationally, he stressed.
On the official cabinet, the decrees in the hands of the president and Prime Minister Glavchev's desire to be foreign minister as well, Vasil Tonchev expressed his opinion:
"I think they will find a compromise solution. The tension at the moment is by no means useful. It is most likely that the Prime Minister will also take over the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs with the stipulations that appropriate deputies will be found to do this job.
The official government by definition is to carry out fair elections, the sociologist reminded. According to him, from a technological point of view, a successful option must be found. Putting a political figure would bring serious tension to the other players who will appear in the elections, the sociologist believes. And commented:
"Bulgaria has built a good electoral administration over the years. She also coped with quite difficult tasks. This one is not easy either. Politicians try in every possible way to prevent it, constantly setting traps for it. I hope he can do it again. This is extremely important in order to have the necessary peace in the country.
