The Bulgarian MEP from VMRO Angel Dzambazki got into an anti-classification of "Politico" because of a Nazi salute given in the plenary hall of the European Parliament, BNR reported.
17 MEPs have broken parliamentary procedures during this term of the European Parliament, which began in the summer of 2019 and ends this week.
Dzambazki's offense dates back to February 2022. It happened during a debate on the binding of European funds to the rule of law. Our compatriot then defended Hungary and its Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
After leaving the stand and heading towards the exit of the hall, he stretched his right hand forward and was fined with deprivation of daily allowances for a period of 6 days or 2028 euros.
Dzambazki accused his colleagues of defamation and stated that he only made a sign of goodbye.
