The control against improper parking in Sofia is being tightened. This was stated by the director of the Center for Urban Mobility (CGM), Dimitar Dilchev, quoted by Nova TV.
He stressed that cars equipped with cameras will be on the lookout for violators. Dilchev noted that by mid-May at the latest, they will start walking around Sofia's streets.
In his words, the 20 vehicles are enough to cover all areas in the capital.
Chances of parking for 10-15 minutes without sending a message will decrease dramatically. Dilchev explained, the chances that a driver who stopped for a while will not have a brake applied tend to zero.
According to him, it is necessary to make normative changes that would open the possibility for control services to place digital clamps. This will make it easier for teams and citizens. The idea is to remove the devices that fasten the cars, he added.
