The ban on advertising gambling games in the media was accepted at first reading by the budget committee in the parliament. A day before the MPs went on vacation due to the election campaign, the line commission considered the proposal for changes to the Gambling Law of GERB - SDS and DPS, the BNR specified.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova also took part in the meeting, who explained that the ministry had analyzed the approach to gambling advertising in EU member states and those outside it:
"What has been found regarding advertising is that a total ban on gambling advertising tends to increase illegal gambling. In fact, most countries have taken a balanced approach.
With another decision of its first reading, the relevant commission canceled the patent tax for mushroom pickers.
