Today was the last regular session of the National Assembly. The deputies worked for a little more than a year. What the people's representatives did and what they didn't do during that time - the topic in the “Interview in NOVA News” commented the sociologist from “Trend” Evelina Slavkova.
„There are positive things that the deputies have done. There are bills that were very important and passed. As a sociologist, I cannot help but step on the data. This National Assembly, going on vacation, ends with 12% positive and 80% negative attitude. The assessment of society, which is important in this case, shows that it is extremely unfavorable to this Parliament and to its current composition. With 20% approval, the cabinet of Nikolay Denkov also ended, Slavkova said.
In her words, “in the end, the scandals, the tension, the way politicians talk to each other reflect and resonate a very prominent opinion in society that is unfavorable to the political class”.
„For me, there would be a result, no matter what assembly we are talking about, if the government had a longer life. That is, to have an end to the political crisis. Because we realized that what was a big compromise last year – did not lead to solving the most important problem in Bulgarian society, namely the permanent political crisis we are in for several years now,”, the sociologist stressed.
