On the agenda of the deputies today is the second reading of the draft law on the ratification of a change in the contract for the F-16 aircraft and the maintenance related to them, BNT reported.
Prior to that, the draft law will also be discussed at a meeting of the Defense Committee.
The schedule for the delivery of the aircraft specified in the document has been updated, with the first machines planned to be delivered at the end of the first quarter of 2025, and the last ones - by the end of 2025. The amendment of the contract aims to optimize deliveries by USA. The total value of the contract does not change - BGN 1.3 billion, Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov assured during the debates in the hall during the first reading.
