The need for equipment and modern weaponry in recent years has always been the most discussed problem she has faced our army. Recently, our Ground Forces have been equipped with new uniforms and equipment that fully meet NATO standards. They were shown on the central square in Asenovgrad, NOVA reported.
With new equipment, the artillerymen from the city are preparing for their first mission in Kosovo. The uniform weighs 10 kg, and the modern body armor to it - another 12, explains senior sergeant Georgi Dyakov.
“The most specific thing is the convenience that allows quick loading of the weapon,” said Georgi Dyakov, a soldier in the 4th Artillery Regiment in Asenovgrad.
In order to complete their equipment, the servicemen in Asenovgrad are in dire need of backpacks and night vision devices.
And the Ground Forces recently have new modern weapons - modernized "Kalashnikov" assault rifles, an automated sound system that allows hitting targets in a radius of up to 20 km and a combined reconnaissance device.
„It monitors the military space and can determine the distance and angle to the relevant target. The device itself directly gives the coordinates, which are transmitted to the firing positions for faster and timely hitting of the targets. The other innovation is an unmanned lethal vehicle. Its capabilities are up to 20 km deep. It can fly for about an hour - an hour and a half. It can also carry an explosive device," said Krasimir Tashev, commander of the 4th Artillery Regiment - Asenovgrad.
