The report of the temporary parliamentary commission, which was supposed to investigate possible corrupt practices in the "Customs" Agency. and the possible role of Asen Vasilev, is known to the prosecutor's office. "The same day that the commission came out with a report, which was accepted by a majority of almost all political parties, with the exception of course of the PP-DB, immediately after that we submitted it to the prosecutor's office. From now on, the independent institutions must do their job", stressed Balabanov.
He emphasized that the temporary commission has fulfilled its task.
"The facts show that this was the first ad hoc committee in recent parliaments to legally complete the entire cycle of work, issuing a report. The report is based on the things we received as testimonies and information from all invited interested parties on the subject. Not only did we repeat the words to the head of DANS, we repeated the words to both the court and the prosecutor's office. Scandalous things became clear, this commission was a mirror for the lies of a particular political formation."
"The National Assembly is not a judicial body, the court will judge. However, the facts are brutal after the Ministry of Internal Affairs comes out and says that a former minister of the Ministry of the Interior has repeatedly officially seen and met with proven smugglers. These same people have gifted expensive watches to senior officials of the state such as the now former Chief Secretary who was photographed naked next to them on the beach. They gave paintings, expensive gifts to a former interior minister. This is proof of corruption at the highest levels of the state, of hypocrisy and lies in politics. Separately, a former finance minister, Asen Vassilev, appointed an employee involved in corrupt practices as the head of the "Customs" Agency, with overwhelming evidence. This same person denies knowing the smugglers, and he is pictured in front of the "Customs" Agency. with them", he added.
According to him, the work of the temporary commission investigating the facts surrounding the case of Martin Bojanov - the Notary was extremely ineffective.
