In Sofia, a 48-year-old candidate-deputy was taken by the police after he refused to stop at a police signal.
The incident happened late last night in the capital, BNR specified.
The man also refused a drug test and explained that he has immunity as a candidate for deputy.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs specifies that the man is not known to the police. The driver claimed to be a member of the "Truth and only the truth" party. After an investigation, it was established that he is a candidate for deputy from the specified party, BNT specified.
The incident was reported to the prosecutor on duty.
Today, the Ministry of the Interior is expected to notify the prosecutor's office in writing about what happened.
