PP-DB deputy and former interior minister Boyko Rashkov today filed a claim for BGN 50,000 against the people's representatives from “Ima such a people“ Toshko Yordanov and Stanislav Balabanov. The occasion is their statements related to the temporary parliamentary commission “for investigating the corrupt practices in the "Customs" Agency and the possible role of Asen Vassilev in them”.
This was reported by Club Z.
„They overdid it. They crossed the normal limits and I already have a claim against them in the Sofia City Court," Boyko Rashkov said. “ Such slanderous statements and offensive qualifications are not allowed.“
On the occasion of the arrests of Marin Dimitrov and Stefan Dimitrov, Mr. Rashkov commented:
„The accused and detained persons have not been charged or charged with smuggling, at least until now and while this customs commission was going on.“
The charges against them are for something else.
„At the very least, because of this, it cannot be said in front of the whole world that the Bulgarian Minister of the Interior patronized a smuggling channel of an organized criminal group, because there is no such charge,”, Rashkov is categorical.
"I have not treated anyone in such an ugly, unethical and abusive manner, but they think they can do it with impunity. Come on, let the court now say whether they can or cannot, have or do not have such a right, given that there is not a single proof that I have participated in any illegal activity. Not a single fact! And such cannot be detected because it does not exist in reality. This violence, which was done with this galloping of one committee at the expense of another committee - it is so obvious that it can no longer be done."
At the same time, an attempt was made to hide the connection between the group of defendants and the former Minister of Tourism from GERB, Nikolina Angelkova.
"This is so transparent, so obviously biased, biased and politically driven that it can't be done anymore. She did not recognize herself in the photos. And the whole of Bulgaria recognized her. It's like me saying that the picture in my home with my family is not me. And that's why I decided that I should no longer stand and wait, because I suffered many blows and these two people's representatives went beyond the limits of the normal opposition between the individual parliamentary groups", Boyko Rashkov added.
The claim was against the two - Yordanov and Balabanov, together, "because it concerns almost identical acts". The case is civil, not under the Criminal Code.
"I am judging them for their statements both in committee and before a committee meeting. They thought I would stand by and let them act out TV scripts. Before the commission finished its work, Balabanov made a speech in the plenary hall on four or five points. In practice, he pre-decided what should ultimately be the conclusion of this temporary parliamentary committee, expressing an opinion almost on behalf of the entire parliamentary committee - what was found and how the corrupt ministers Boyko Rashkov and Asen Vassilev tolerated or assisted (or whatever you can think of in this connection) a smuggling channel, some smugglers, etc. more qualifications", Boyko Rashkov added.
"This affects not only our personal image and reputation, but, of course, the reputation of the whole country, because this cannot remain hidden from our partners."
The deputy from PP-DB stated that the relevant representatives of ITN had a briefing on the subject again with insulting qualifications and unproven statements. Toshko Yordanov also gave an interview to BNT.
Boiko Rashkov also said that he was not called for questioning by the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Prosecutor's Office in connection with the relevant investigation that is being conducted.
We remind you that the former director of the “Customs“ Petya Bankova, Stefan and Marin Dimitrovi, as well as Nikola Nikolov (Pascal) were charged with participating in an organized criminal group for influence peddling and other crimes. Subsequently, charges were brought against the former Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, for participating in a criminal group in which Bankova, Marin Dimitrov and Stefan Dimitrov participated.
