There is no alcohol in the blood of the 21-year-old driver of the powerful jeep that caused an accident in Plovdiv. This was established by the chemical expertise, the prosecutor's office in the city announced.
The District Prosecutor's Office-Plovdiv announced that an investigation to establish the causes of a traffic accident in which Christian Ekmekchiyan, 21, died on May 13, 2024, in the city of Plovdiv, on "Ruski" Blvd. , driver of a car “Range Rover”, and 20-year-old Teodora Nikolova, his companion continues. There was also no alcohol in the girl's blood.
Under the same pre-trial proceedings, a chemical examination was appointed, which should give an answer as to whether the driver's blood contained the presence of narcotic substances, as well as an auto-technical examination - to establish the causes of the accident and the speed of the car. The conclusions of the same have not yet been prepared.
In the road accident, two more people were injured - a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman traveling in the car. They are being treated in hospital. After the accident was reported, teams of the police and the fire department arrived at the scene, and a firefighter was injured during the elimination of the consequences. He is also in a hospital facility for treatment.
