Yotova opens the fourth edition of the Bulgarian People's Assembly "Thread of Root" in Münster  - 1

Vice President Iliana Yotova will open the fourth edition of the Bulgarian People's Assembly “ Thread from Root“ in the German city of Münster today, the press office of the head of state announced, quoted by BTA.

The meeting, which is under the patronage of the vice president, is organized by the Bulgarian cultural association “Little Bulgaria” and will gather participants from all over Germany, neighboring countries and Bulgaria. The assembly promotes Bulgarian culture and traditions. During his visit to Münster, the vice president will hold meetings with representatives of the local government and the Bulgarian community, the press office informed.

The traditional Bulgarian assembly “ Thread from the root“ will take place on May 18 and 19 in the German city, the association announced on its Facebook page.

„Due to the increased interest in the event this year, it will be held on two consecutive days, May 18 and 19, and on the first day it will be open to all visitors (no entrance fee) and will start at 5:00 p.m. .ed. - local time), and will continue until 22:00 in the municipal hall “Hiltrup”. On the second day, the meeting will be held outdoors from 11:00 a.m. in the Mühlenhof craft museum, where it is usually held. Attendance there is subject to admission according to the museum's set fees”, according to the association “Little Bulgaria”.

A total of 17 dance groups will participate in the program for the two days, as well as the official guests - a representative group of 11 dancers, singers and musicians from the “Pirin“ Ensemble. In addition to their individual performances during the two days, the small performers 10-year-old Maksimilian Mitev (bagpipe player) from Papenburg and 9-year-old Magdalena Stefanov (singer) from Mende will have the privilege to participate, the organizers add.

Honorary guests of “Root thread“ 2024 will also be Grigor Porozhanov - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Germany; Diana Popova - Consul General of Bulgaria and head of the mission in Frankfurt am Main, Germany; Werner Yostmeier - Honorary Consul of Bulgaria for the Federal Province of North Rhine-Westphalia; Angela Steller, representing Markus Lewe, mayor of the city of Münster; Maria Salinas - chairman of the Integration Council of the city of Munster; Suzanne Jostameling from the Municipal Integration Center, Münster.

From “Little Bulgaria” add that the meeting is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria and the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad.
