A 22-year-old migrant from the Rhodopes died in a ridiculous accident in the Netherlands, writes 24rodopi.com, quoted by FOCUS.
Okan from the village of Solishte was hit while working on the railway.
The tragedy happened last Tuesday. The young man had been in the "Low Earth" for years, he worked in rail maintenance for a railway company. He lived in The Hague, but traveled every day to the sites subject to inspection. On the fateful day, he was on the tracks, with headphones in his ears, and most likely did not hear the approaching train.
The funeral of the young man was on Saturday in his native village.
"Cruel tragedy! Hundreds of people came to see Okan off on his final journey. The boy went to work in the Netherlands, where his father, who is engaged in construction, has lived for 20 years. His mother is in the village and takes care of his two minor sisters”, residents of Solishte shared.
