We, the Bulgarians, have nothing to be surprised by our Black Sea coast , because we are a traditional maritime country. We all remember the sunny shores and golden sands of our native Black Sea coast in the 1980s, which was on a par with the Mediterranean and was the most preferred destination, especially for Eastern Europe.
This was commented in the BNT studio by the official Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev.
Anyone who has not recently been to our Black Sea coast can see the tourism product, which is developing very positively, he believes.
"We must note that we are in a situation of very serious competition from our neighbors - Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Cyprus - these are countries with a very serious policy, with a very serious investment in advertising their tourist product. Times are changing, but the good, beautiful, our Black Sea coast exists", explained the minister.
"These existing, existing, self-flagellating findings that we have concreted ourselves and only deal with alcohol tourism and the cheapest tourists come to us, I think it is very far-fetched and very extreme,'' Miloshev specified.
According to him, not only in tourism, but also in everything, it is a matter of communication strategy. Our Black Sea coast offers a product for every taste, for every visitor and for every type of tourism.
"We are a tourist country, many foreigners come to us and we must have a very positive attitude towards them. Traditionally, we have very good specialists, we have schools and colleges where we train personnel. At the moment, our biggest problem is the lack of manpower, not only in tourism, of course", Evtim Miloshev also said.
