The District Prosecutor's Office in Varna has submitted to the court two claims to terminate the activity of two non-profit associations, whose activity is directed against the sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity of the nation, to incite ethnic or religious enmity, BNT reported.

These are the Association of the Bulgarian National Movement “Shipka“ and association Bulgarian Military Union “Vasil Levski“, registered in 2014. The two organizations have used social networks and electronic sites to reach like-minded people and through various publications have managed to attract supporters to their ideas.

Their official goals, according to the statutes of the associations, are the development and affirmation of spiritual values, civil society, healthcare, education, science, culture, technology, technology, physical culture, as well as other activities with a patriotic focus.

At the same time, however, behind the attempts to raise the Bulgarian spirit, in publications on their electronic pages, as well as in their profiles on social networks, a violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria was found.

During the inspection of the activities of the associations, carried out by the District Prosecutor's Office-Varna, texts were found in which religious and ethnic hatred was instilled, as well as calls for self-destruction of foreign citizens, representatives of certain ethnicities and religions.

Data has been collected that during their existence the associations organized a kind of training for the acquisition of certain fighting skills for their sympathizers.

It was also established that organized visits were made to the border of the Republic of Bulgaria with the Republic of Turkey, the purpose of which was to capture illegal migrants. There are no records of results achieved by these civil patrols.

Furthermore, the managers of the two associations maintained contacts with representatives of factions from the Federal Republic of Germany and more specifically with persons known for their far-right beliefs.

The District Court in Varna is expected to schedule a case for considering the claims of the District Prosecutor's Office.
