The resignation of the deputy mayor of Sofia Iliyan Pavlov asked the group of "There is such a people" in the Metropolitan Municipal Council. This was announced by ITN municipal councilor Plamen Danailov at a briefing in SOS before today's extraordinary session of the city parliament, quoted by BTA.
The reason for the requested resignation, according to Danailov, is the situation with the new movement organization around the National Palace of Culture. Danailov stated that there was no way Pavlov could continue working for the Metropolitan Municipality. According to him, the court ruled that the changes were illegal. ITN insist that Iliyan Pavlov submit his resignation by the end of the day "because of the concealment of the information, because of the lie that the deputy mayor for transport told", Danailov said. He stressed that the legislation must be respected and all decisions of the Metropolitan Municipality must be lawful. "Two-thirds of the municipal councilors have lost confidence in the work of this deputy mayor, there is no way he can continue his work with the lies he is telling," said Danailov.
Regarding Vitosha's non-working elevators, Danailov said that the negligence on this topic lasted for 17-18 years. The privatization contract was concluded extremely unprofitably, according to it it is very difficult to seek penalties and make claims against the privatizer, noted the municipal councilor.
