The Committee on Democracy and Security and the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the NATO will meet in Sofia, reported BNR.
On the Bulgarian side, the acting Minister of Internal Affairs Kalin Stoyanov and the Deputy Minister of Defense Nevyana Miteva will take part in the discussions.
A draft report by the Defense and Security Committee recommends greater munitions production and bilateral agreements to support Ukraine. Some of the recommendations may be adopted as decisions after the Alliance meeting in Washington in July.
Yesterday at the session in Sofia, the Acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov warned that Russia is trying to interfere in the European elections on June 9 and insisted on more activity of the Alliance in the Black Sea.
On Monday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will participate in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in our country, and Rustem Umerov - Minister of Defense of Ukraine, will participate via video conference.
