"Unfortunately, trends show that such things are happening and will clearly continue to happen. In our opinion, in this case, the reason is that the tourist was not well prepared. He went to climb a mountain with some kind of rope, but without any belay. Without the necessary climbing equipment. He apparently dropped the rope and a very heavy fall of 20, 30 meters followed, said Bozhidar Jokin from the BCK.
In his words, bad judgment led to the accident. He added that the difficult season for the rescue teams is just beginning, because July and August are the busiest months in terms of tourist flow.
"Unfortunately, most of the tourists are not well prepared, they are not well equipped. They don't judge the route and many accidents happen", explained Jokin.
