Our position is clear and definite: BSP will not support the GERB, Borisov's cabinet. We are in favor of a program , a national cabinet to be formed to solve 3-4 priorities or tasks facing Bulgaria, supported by as many people's representatives as possible. „If GERB proposes Prime Minister Boyko Borisov or Dimitar Glavchev, the BSP will not be the party that will return Borisov to power. They should be experts, not politicians – not Peevski, Asen Vassilev, Borisov. Now the challenge is to elect the Speaker of the National Assembly. It is no less important than what government will be formed”, he is categorical.
„The election results are catastrophic. It's not hard to tell after such activity. If we knew why they were like that, they wouldn't be like that. The master trick of politicians is to analyze what happened and make the right decisions. No one expected this result. And Borisov did not expect both "Revival" and "We continue the change". The slap is for everyone. I had never heard of this party “Majesty”. If there was a normal electoral turnout, such parties would not be able to enter the parliament”, he added.
For the unification of the left formations, he stated: “The swarming to the left is because of the ambitions of some politicians. We invite them again, but not with claims for places in the lists, but with ideas. Only we spoke about the rights of the citizens, about the protection of Bulgaria.“
„My personal opinion is that Ninova, like a European politician, took responsibility for the elections and resigned. She was elected by direct election by BSP members. Ninova has the right to the next candidacy – whether it will be proposed and recognized by the socialists, that depends on them. Direct election is a democratic procedure, and let whoever has the courage and the preparation run for office. If it depends on me, I will offer it”, he commented on the resignation of BSP leader Cornelia Ninova.
