Yotova: I hope that the dialogue between the parties will start from today. Everything is in the hands of the first political power - 1

I hope that the much-needed dialogue between the political formations will start from today. Everything is in the hands of the first political force to invite the other parties and they to go to this dialogue, because I believe that this is the right thing to do. This was stated by Vice President Iliana Yotova at a briefing before opening the General Assembly of the European League for Economic Cooperation, which is being held today in Sofia, BTA reports.

Iotova expects that the new parliament will first be constituted, that all procedures will be followed, as, according to her, the patience of the Bulgarian citizens is running out.

In response to a question, Yotova stated that one of the main tasks of the new parliament is the Eurozone. Because Bulgaria should not slow down the pace of joining the Eurozone. Bulgaria must participate very actively in the changes that are expected in the Eurozone itself, because obviously the problems there are not one and two, stated Iliana Yotova. She emphasized that since the crisis in 2008, the indicators have not been good. We do not want to enter a union that is loaded with problems and therefore we believe that as a country that is yet to find its place there, our voice should also be heard, the vice president said. She noted that, on the other hand, almost all technical criteria were met. We expect inflation to fall, so we expect a stable government and a stable parliament to be able to complete this process. Without Schengen and the Eurozone, our final EU membership is incomplete, Yotova said.

She also commented that she cannot give prescriptions to the political parties, they have their own guidelines. Let them make their own decisions, Yotova said. She noted that the dialogue in Bulgaria must begin. Yotova expressed hope that the emotions of the elections have passed and it is necessary to see what is best for the country.

We are losing a lot, in terms of foreign policy and in foreign policy, because not a single project can be moved forward. We are very late with the European funds, not only for the Recovery Plan, but also for the operational programs, said Iliana Yotova. She emphasized that all this should be on the table of the political parties and their responsible decisions.
