End of consultations to form a government with President Rumen Radev. Last of “Dondukov” 2 arrived from the “Majesty” party. The President held consultations with the parliamentary parties within three days. The first to go to Rumen Radev on Monday were GERB-SDS, DPS and PP-DB. On Tuesday, the head of state invited the “Revival” and BSP.
The President welcomed the representatives of the formation.
„Low voter turnout is a real challenge. However, this election was a success for you. I'm sure that even though it's the first time you're participating in the consultations, you're following them, Radev began.
According to “Majesty” hiding behind an expert government is not the useful formula for Bulgaria, because it concealed coalition relationships that should not be visible to the general public. Closest to the formation was a programmatic government with clear goals and objectives.
These elections were a success for you and I congratulate you on entering the parliament. Several variants of the government have already emerged - expert, proposed by ITN, anti-GERD, proposed by "Vazrazhdane". Let's hear your opinion and if you have anything new to offer.
This is what the president said.
"As soon as we entered the parliament, we proposed a systematic approach to work, but we were not understood," answered Nikolay Markov for his part. "We requested a meeting with the leader of the largest party to hear exactly what the government will be and what its priorities are. We were denied such a meeting. Mr. Borisov has the right to such a refusal, but we have no way to support our ignorance. We do not know what the goals of this government will be. For us, the expert government is also not useful for Bulgaria, because it is a denial of political responsibility. For us, this is demagoguery. For us, it is best to have a program government. If you hand us the third mandate, we will propose such a programmatic government with clear priorities and tasks", Markov was categorical.
