We have no place in the government in the current parliament. It is clear that consultations are being held today to form a cabinet. We have clearly stated that we will not participate in such a cabinet and I do not see why we had to waste GERB's time today.
This was stated in the show "More from the day" on BNT, the MEP from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) Radan Kanev.
"Criticism is something good and important, but positive solutions must be offered. PP-DB has never had a collective decision-making body. The establishment of such a body is a positive proposal. There should be clear and transparent decision-making processes in PP-DB. I cannot answer how decisions have been made so far. The role of opposition is very complex. It is clear that the DB stands several ideas to the right of the PP on economic issues. That is why we must have a common economic team. This is also a positive suggestion. I am not talking about the collapse of the PP-DB, but about a way to change. I do not want to comment on the subject of resignations of colleagues. We must be ready to work in a new way in the future and to form real coalition bodies", added Radan Kanev.
"I understood the words of Kiril Petkov and Academician Denkov about a rematch as a football term, but I do not see a possibility for a rematch on the horizon, because I expect a cabinet to be formed and no new elections. If there is a rematch, we have to be much, much better prepared. At the moment, the situation is much different from the one in 2014 and the Reform Bloc (RB). I don't think PP-DB will have the same fate as RB. The things are very different and have nothing in common. Everything has changed. At the moment there are completely different phenomena. The geopolitical situation has also fundamentally changed. The topic of whether PP-DB will have the same fate as RB is an attempt to replace a very important conversation about the future of the current coalition", the politician was categorical.
