The Council of Ministers appointed four regional governors - of Kardjali, Plovdiv, Targovishte and Haskovo. With the same government decision, the incumbents of these positions were released.
Resmi Murad has been appointed regional governor of Kardzhali region. He is a financier by education. Since 2007, he has been the mayor of the municipality of Ardino.
Hristina Yancheva takes over the post of regional governor of the Plovdiv region. He has many years of management experience. Since 2016, he has been rector of the Agricultural University in Plovdiv.
Mehmed Ataman has been appointed district governor of Haskovo district. He is a national representative in the 42nd and 43rd National Assembly. Before that, he was deputy regional governor of Haskovo region, as well as deputy mayor of
municipality of Haskovo.
Gyursel Hasanov has been appointed regional governor of Targovishte region. He is an economist by education. He has many years of management experience, as from May 2018 until now he has been the director of a municipal enterprise in
Targovishte.
