Kaloyan Metodiev stands in the conflict between the BSP and the presidential institution, which excites the members and sympathizers of the BSP. On Saturday, we had a 7-hour meeting on this matter in the National Council.

„We will not support a cabinet with the first two mandates and we will not support GERB's proposal that Raya Nazaryan be the speaker of the 50th parliament,” he said. Regarding yesterday's vote, he believes that the support for Raya Nazaryan by a BSP deputy was a mistake.
Regarding the negotiations to form a cabinet, he stated that if they are invited with certain parameters, they can hold talks about a cabinet with the second or third mandate. “BSP is ready for elections, but is the time horizon the most suitable”, he asked, adding that it is possible to achieve a new record of low voter turnout.
On a possible unification of left-wing parties and movements, Dechev said: “We hope the culmination of the left-wing approval will be at the traditional Buzludzha council. There will be a special plenum and commissions to consider the cases one by one”.
