This is what the DPS chairman Delyan Peevski told journalists after his meeting with the regional DPS chairmen, novini.bg reported.
"We discussed several topics. The first is that all colleagues call for DPS to be united and move forward. Colleagues called for full unification between me Mr. Ahmed Dogan. We will not allow a few derbies to destroy DPS for their personal interests. I hope we can be together. Topic Dogan - Peevski is not on my side. I have not spoken with Ahmed Dogan, but I have done everything to be together. Dogan is on the move. Today I am calling him - I am ready to meet and talk. We must be one and not split our party. It cannot be done under pressure. My colleagues and I will give each other the necessary signals about threats and pressure," Peevski revealed.
"The PG of the DPS will decide on the second term. We will send letters first to the parties whether they are ready to support us. If we see from the letters that there is a chance for a majority, we take it and continue. The parliamentary group will decide who will take the mandate. I can take it too, but with an aired candidate for prime minister. I will not be a candidate for prime minister, I state that clearly. Let all consultations go through first. There should be a regular government no matter what mandate. Bulgarian citizens want a functioning government. Tomorrow the parliamentary group meets and we will decide what to do next. We work according to the statute," Delyan Peevski was emphatic.
"My name is Hamdi Ilyazov. I have been the regional chairman of the DPS - Targovishte for 25 years. We stand for unity. We stand behind Mr. Peevski and Mr. Dogan. We only have a problem with Ceyhan Ibryamov. He is trying to break the organization and the whole party. The mayor of Omurtag has been removed, but this is a party issue. Jevdet Chakarov called me last night at 12 o'clock. Today at 8 in the morning I am called not to come to this meeting. I will lodge a complaint", announced the regional chairman of the DPS - Targovishte.
"We want Mr. Atalay to be expelled from the party. We want the party to be united and have a government, and Bulgaria to develop. There was pressure on me from several places. I will file a complaint", revealed Yuksel Rasim, regional chairman of the DPS - Plovdiv.
"I hope that there is unity and that the DPS does not split because of a few people. We must be united. I also call on Mr. Dogan to unite. We will never forgive each other if the party splits along the Dogan-Peevski axis. This is absurd and we bear the responsibility to prevent this from happening", concluded Delyan Peevski.
