Borislav Tsekov: Everyone is concerned with their own political survival. There is no dialogue - 1

We have a political crisis, a crisis of political elites and a leadership crisis. There is a lack of national leadership. All are concerned with their own political survival. There is a lack of dialogue, negotiations based on election results and goals. Prof. Borislav Tsekov commented on this in the show "More from the day" on BNT, quoted by novini.bg.

In his words, there is a need to revive the dialogue in the parliament. "For 4-5 years we hear the same thing "with these never, with those never". I ask myself "what do we choose them for". We are in the midst of a cascade of elections - no party has a significant majority and there is a fragmentation of the parliament", he also said.

For me, the way out is increasing public pressure on the parties to start talking, Prof. Tsekov added.
The problem is the state of the political parties, they are encapsulated. They have no mechanisms to promote candidates. This creates problems, believes Daniel Stefanov, political scientist and expert on electoral systems.

Half of the parties have no presidents, no active leaders. If DPS goes, it is not known who will take the mandate. DB has no leader, BSP practically has no leader. Party life is strange, he added.

Our system is starting to create a problem - too many parties that, due to the lack of a coalition culture, cannot create majorities. We need to decide what electoral system we need so that it stabilizes the political system, Daniel Stefanov pointed out.
