Atanas Atanasov: We are aware of GERB's "Divide and Conquer" tactic, which is applied to us - 1

The chances of the realization of the third term are small, but a miracle could happen. He commented on this in "Sunday 150" of the BNR, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Atanas Atanasov from PP-DB, quoted by novini.bg.

"We will take it seriously if we are invited, we will discuss the possibilities and what option is offered - he added. - In the third option, it is handed over to a parliamentary group that does not have a deadline for naming a prime minister, therefore it can conduct serious consultations and look for a unifying figure."

When asked about the behavior of GERB, who court DB and criticize PP, Atanasov explained that they are the only coalition that after governing with GERB is back in parliament. "All those who supported them disappeared," he explained. - We are aware of their "Divide and Conquer" tactics being applied to us.

According to him, it is also important how the intra-party battle will take place in the DPS, because in two months, when the parliamentary elections will be held, this could create a problem as to which faction will be registered and how. To a question related to judicial reform, Atanasov explained that the Constitutional Court threw it in the trash.

"This is the old Soviet system, when the chief prosecutor is omnipresent and if he serves certain interests, he becomes a club - he argued. - The current decision of the CC says that if we want these changes, a Grand National Assembly will be necessary. For 30 years we have not been able to cope with the Soviet system. Just to point out that there was no chief prosecutor under the Kingdom of Bulgaria. The SC canceled the texts proposed by PP-DB, and those of the others remained - there is nothing accidental in this world, but there is no point in commenting on it."

When asked about Borisov's words that these changes should be made more thoughtfully and wisely, he replied: "He is a wise man with a lot of experience in politics, but it is best to give advice to himself in their own party, in the silence of GERB there is nothing surprising, this decision of the Constitutional Court suits them, as well as the status quo in the prosecutor's office, they were not enthusiastic supporters of judicial reform. Now they have a puppet government and after the next election they wouldn't worry because they have an illegitimate executive power that they exercise in their own interest."

According to Atanasov, currently more than 20 bodies in the country, whose members are elected by the National Assembly, have expired mandates and new bodies cannot be elected for years.
"Take the Inspectorate of the Supreme Judicial Council, which was supposed to exercise control over the investigation and the prosecutor's office, there they already have two mandates, and they are not entitled to more than one - he added. - In addition, we have not heard of any result of their work, for example, that deadlines are not met, that there are abuses, nothing."
