Residents of the town of Iskar protested early this morning. The reason for their dissatisfaction is the state of a section that is part of the republican road network and passes through the city. People do not like the repair done on the pavement, which has already deformed. After the rerouting of traffic due to the repair of the main road E79, about 3,500 vehicles pass through the village daily, of which the most are trucks. The protesters say that the bad condition of the road is visible to the naked eye.
„It all started after the road became a detour on the Mezdra-Botevgrad road. Freight traffic increased many times and bumps were formed on the lane, he explained to Nova TV. the director of API – Pleven Yordan Parvanov. He emphasized that the repair of the repair is currently being prepared, and it will be at the contractor's expense, since the road is under warranty.
„Lack of communication in the state has resulted in all of us suffering now. 90% of the houses are split”, noted the mayor of the city.
The gathered people jokingly asked API which company is the contractor of the project. Parvanov answered, but the protesters said the company was actually local and accused the authorities of not wanting to reveal the name of its owner. “If the company has hired a subcontractor, I cannot comment”, said the director of API – Pleven.
