„The property is is located outside the boundaries of the "Vitosha" Nature Park, does not fall within the scope of the protected areas and is an exclusive private property. The regional administration will initiate actions to reach an agreement with the owners of the private property, offering them to be compensated with another property in order to avoid building on the “Solar Path”.
This was stated by the Metropolitan Municipality in a position regarding the fenced eco-path that connects the Golden Bridges in Vitosha and the “Knyazhevo” quarter.
„Over the years, the so-called “Solar Path“ passed through the private property, which until recently was not fenced. At the beginning of 2024, a metal fence was installed, which led to a number of inspections by the “Green System” to the CO and the "Vitosha Nature Park" Directorate; due to the removal of trees and vegetation. The owners of the property provided a permit issued by the mayor of the “Vitosha” on 19.09.2023, for these actions”, adds the municipality.
When checked on July 4 this year by experts of the “Green System” and forest inspectors from the Directorate of PP Vitosha, an order was made to the owner to keep the stone slabs that fall within the boundaries of the property.
„During the current inspection, it was found that the section of the trail is segregated so that access to the existing trail is not restricted. The regional administration and the owners of the property will continue the dialogue to find the best solution for all parties concerned and to preserve the natural values of the area, the position says.
Slabs should be stored and made available for use if the path is moved on a detour route – a possibility that is yet to be discussed, adds the Metropolitan Municipality.
The position makes it clear that the property is located in the area “Belovodski path-Boyansko”, Vitosha district, and is registered according to the current cadastral map of the AGKK and the current PUP, approved by a decision of the SOS.
