Borislav Tsekov bought "Gallup International Balkan" from the previous owners Andrey Raichev and Kancho Stoychev, it is clear from a statement published on the website of the sociological agency.

The sale of one hundred percent of the shares of the sociological agency "Gallup International Balkan", which is a member of the international association Gallup International with headquarters in Zurich, was finalized. The founders and previous shareholders in “Gallup International Balkan”, Mr. Andrey Raichev and Mr. Kancho Stoychev, transferred their shareholding to the specially established for this purpose joint stock company “Paxton Research”, headed by Assoc. Dr. Borislav Tsekov . Owners of “Paxton Research” are the conservative think-tank Research Center for New Europe, led by Prof. Tsekov and the association “Republican Center” with chairman Dr. Petar Kichashki. On the board of “Paxton Research“ lawyer Andrian Boyanov and Ivilina Alexieva-Robinson (Chairman of the CEC from 2014 to 2019) are involved. The financing of the transaction is provided by the successful international business developed by Associate Professor Borislav Tsekov and Dr. Petar Kichashki, whose companies are the exclusive partner for the Balkans of some of the global corporate giants in the sphere of the recycling industry and trade in metals.
“The right to a pension is guaranteed by the Constitution and we decided to take advantage of it” – stated Mr. Andrey Raichev and Mr. Kancho Stoychev and emphasized that the responsibility for what was achieved by the “Gallup International Balkan” in Bulgaria in the last 33 years has been large. “That is why we sought to pass the baton to individuals who not only have an understanding of its mission, but also the capacity to upgrade”.
For his part, Prof. Borislav Tsekov thanked for the trust and emphasized that the authority of the agency, built by the professionalism of Andrey Raichev and Kancho Stoychev, is indisputable and therefore the future development will be in a spirit of continuity”. At the same time, Kancho Stoychev continues his new mandate as a member of the board of the world association and president of the foundation of the same name, based in London.
On behalf of “Paxton Research”, as the new owner of “Gallup International Balkan”, Prof. Tsekov also announced that the agency is about to be restructured, which will grow into a research center with three directions.
The first is the sociological one, which still exists today. The goal is complete continuity of the successful activity and independence of the agency, and therefore we will rely on the fundamental role of the established team of Dr. Parvan Simeonov as the director of the agency.
The second research direction will be in the field of constitutional law, political science and public administration – "Constitutionalism and Democracy" Center, which will also publish a scientific journal. Its leader will be Prof. Georgi Bliznashki, and members of the editorial board – prominent scientists and university professors from Bulgaria, the USA, etc.
The third direction, which will be formed in the near future together with American partners, is a center for monitoring anti-democratic ideologies and propaganda in Bulgaria.
