Why did I want to make the Bulgarian children "genders"? His cousin told him that he will not vote for PPDB because we wanted to make his 4 boys homosexual.
This was announced on "Facebook" the co-chairman of "Continuing the Change" Kiril Petkov.
I was horrified by these words, because apparently the false propaganda had worked for them as well. Apparently, we have not clearly explained to the people what is happening and why we voted against the law.
I tried with the simplest words to explain to my friend what it was all about:
Propaganda in school is still prohibited, both party, religious and sexual orientation propaganda.
Everything in school must first be approved by the Ministry of Education, and there is no real problem now. PPDB is firmly against any kind of propaganda in schools. Knowledge should be accumulated there without any propaganda!
To push a fascist text into law "Revival" created a false fear in many people that there is "homosexual propaganda" in school. Real "Revival" uses children and schools to do its fear-based political propaganda. It created an artificial problem to divide the society and increased the antagonism between people. They are the best at it.
First they scared people with the harms of vaccination and passed the 4% barrier and entered the parliament. Then they lied that our soldiers would be sent to Ukraine. The lie followed that the euro would make life more expensive for Bulgarians, even though everyone saw that in Croatia people's incomes went up when they introduced the euro there. Now, for this election, they invented "homosexual propaganda" for our children in schools – new dividing line. Unfortunately, they manage to catch people on the hook every time.
Apparently, their false propaganda had managed to penetrate a personal friend of mine as well.
Why did we vote against this law? Not because we want someone to propagate anything to our children and "teach them about homosexuality" - this is an insane thesis from the false suggestions of "Revival". We voted against this law because "Revival" laid down a fascist text that for the first time included "non-traditional sexual orientation" as a definition in Bulgarian law. This has nothing to do with our children. The problem is that, for the first time in our recent history, segregation is being legislated as in Hitler's time. As soon as this law imposed it, "Revival" made a list of 800 teachers and labeled them as criminals or perverts who want to confuse our children.
This is terribly dangerous, because with the next step they can define "non-traditional cohabitation" and condemn all young families with children out of wedlock. And what if they say "people with unconventional names" or an "unconventional religion" or an "unconventional view of geopolitics", and before we know it, various groups of society will be "criminals of the law".
History teaches us that the denial of human rights is the path of hatred that leads to suffering. Thus the Holocaust took away the rights of Jews in Nazi Germany. Thus, the Revival process takes away the rights of the Bulgarian Turks in communist Bulgaria. This is how Islamic fundamentalism takes away women's rights in Afghanistan.
Instead of being explained by all parties and "Revival” to be isolated, we saw that GERB voted with "Revival" probably because of some unprincipled political deal. Voters of GERB, please talk to your MPs and tell them that they cannot surrender their European values because Boyko made an alush-verish with Kostadin Kostadinov. And then, with his typical fat humor, to say that he wasn't going to become a woman and that's why he was no longer Euro-Atlantic. It's not funny, it's sad, it's wrong, and it's even scary!
Yes, I'm wrong too. I saw that for many people it is more important that I got a word wrong in my post than that fascist discriminatory texts appear in the laws of European Bulgaria. I am sorry that even smart people who understand what false political propaganda is, decide to remain silent because they are "playing a political game".
People, please think! Even if you don't know the details of the law, you have to guess that there is something very rotten when a party calls 800 teachers criminals and wants to give them to a prosecutor. There is no way these teachers are perverted criminals who want to make your children sexually confused! These are our Bulgarian teachers!
I am a parent of three children, and I know that there is currently no danger of anyone propagating anything to them at school that would endanger them. There are scary things on the internet and we really have to protect our children there, but there is nothing like that in Bulgarian schools. I also know that I will stand by any blacklisted teacher - you and I are friends!
I am proud to have voted against this law which artificially divides our society. I voted against this law because it is contrived, to instill false fear in parents, to endanger teachers and to push fascist definitions into our legislation. I personally will do everything possible to change the text of the law, not because I don't love my children, but precisely because I love them and want them to live in a free country and where fascism is not a part of their lives".
