Vigenin: In the current situation, there is a possibility that the BSP will not participate in the next elections

Why Kornelia Ninova continues to suppress registration and give powers to people who are not in the BSP's close leadership remains unclear. She could have a voice in the lists, in a dialogue we could reason, but the way this is done is disappointing

Vigenin: In the current situation, there is a possibility that the BSP will not participate in the next elections - 1

"The only chance for the BSP to get out of the situation with dignity is for Cornelia Ninova to power of attorney of Atanas Zafirov". This is what Christian Vigenin told BNT about the tremors and the legal case in his party.

"There is no other logical solution, because this is not just a battle between the former chairman and the current leadership, it is some unclear to us battle against legitimate organs of the party.

Vigenin explained that the National Council of the BSP unanimously gave rights to Atanas Zafirov as the acting chairman of the party: "Why does Kornelia Ninova continue to suppress the registration and give powers to people who are not in the close leadership of the BSP , remains unclear. She could have a voice in the lists, in a dialogue we could reason, but the way it is done is disappointing.

Kristian Vigenin confirmed that in the current situation, there is a possibility that the BSP will not participate in the next elections: "Ninova's requests that she will sign, submit lists, will not submit lists that she does not like, I think go beyond normal political behavior. I didn't imagine and I didn't want such an end to these 8 years of Ninova at the head of the party".

That is why today the National Council will discuss whether and what punishment to impose on Ninova and her associates. However, if everything goes well, Atanas Zafirov should submit the registration documents for BSP and the new coalition of left-wing formations. Vigenin explained the unity on the left as follows: "During the last 5-6 elections, there were always other left formations that competed with us for voters. In these elections, for the first time, the possibility is emerging that there will be no competing left parties and coalitions, which gives us a chance to compete with opponents from the right, and not with each other.
