Lyubomir Stefanov: Currently, there is legally one DPS - 1

DPS is the Rubicon that GERB must cross in order to form the next majority in the parliament. This is what Lyubomir Stefanov, a political scientist and university lecturer, told BNR.

"If there is a more definite position there, the PP-DB would be more inclined to commit to something like a coalition.

GERB expects the PP-DB to compromise in some way and be ready to make much more consensual arrangements for forming a government. The next cabinet can be broadcast only from the first two parties plus one possibly.
GERB seems to be in good shape organizationally and conditionally, as well as ideas, pointed out Stefanov. However, he defined it as an "pre-election trick" Borisov's idea that established mayors occupy the first places in the lists.
The political scientist also analyzes what is happening in the DPS.

"Movement voters know very well that their party is currently falling apart and there is a struggle for power. Political wounds are inflicted with fervor. The question is whether DPS voters will choose to get involved, or will wisely let the ats kick.

Currently there is legally one DPS. One co-chairman cannot be in a coalition and the other – in another".
Stefanov defined the situation in BSP as "ridiculous".

"I hear voices that the collapse of the DPS and the reset of the BSP should be read as a historic chance for society to come out and rid itself of these retrograde remnants of the transition. But I don't see what would stimulate the Bulgarian citizens to come out and vote en masse".
The political scientist also pointed out that "ITNs always find fault with someone else".

"Their approach of telling things for the other side to either confirm or reject, to get them into some eddies, is not helpful. Saturating the public space with half-truths, nonsense, throwaways and metaphors does the opposite of stimulating Bulgarian citizens to vote".
