Nastimir Ananiev's party was thrown out of PP-DB, because of DB - 1

Nastimir Ananiev's Volt party will no longer be part of the PP-DB coalition. This is clear from a letter from the party co-chairman Simeon Trulev to the media.

It is understood from him that the reason Volt is not part of the coalition is DB. Volt was the mandate holder of "We continue the change" and the government of Kiril Petkov in the 47th National Assembly in 2021. The party then became part of the PP-DB coalition from its inception for the elections for the 49th National Assembly in April 2023. Nastimir Ananiev was an MP from "Promyanata", and in the last elections he did not enter the parliament, after Petkov chose to be an MP from Sofia in order to free up a seat in Pernik for Boyko Rashkov.

In this mandate, Ananiev is an unhappy collaborator of the PP MP Vasil Stefanov. Volt will now not be part of the coalition for the October 27 election. "Apparently the price “Yes, Bulgaria" to say YES to the PP was the removal of Volt from the coalition," Trulev commented in his letter.

He says that an emergency political board of the PP Volt was held on Wednesday evening, at which it became clear that after another meeting regarding participation in the PP-DB coalition, this will not happen. "In the last two days, we also found out about negotiations that were conducted without PP Volt. When forming the coalition for the 50th National Assembly, the DB demanded that Volt be removed from the coalition, but then the PP refused. Apparently now the DB have managed to impose themselves after their threats to leave the coalition. The main three problems were the electoral seats, Volt's participation in the PP-DB coalition council and the inclusion in the coalition agreement of a regulation specifying which parties and coalitions we would not work with in the upcoming 51st National Assembly," Trulev wrote.

The transformation of the PP-DB into an elitist yellow-wing coalition will not bring about the desired change, but rather it is entering the “rails" of the Reform Bloc, whose end we know what it was, says Volt's co-chairman. PP Volt never claimed the coalition for elective seats or receiving a subsidy, for example. What matters to us are the policies and principles we fight for, as well as real change. Therefore, on September 30, we requested a meeting with the other three parties from the coalition, and a letter was sent to Kiril Petkov, Asen Vasilev, Atanas Atanasov and Bozhidar Bojanov, Trulev also said. However, they received an answer only from PP.

PP Volt convenes an extraordinary national council this Friday to discuss the situation and take the necessary steps for our participation in the upcoming elections on October 27, 2024. The co-presidents of PP Volt - Vencislava Ljubenova and Simeon Trulev, also stated that will convene a general meeting of the party by the end of October. PP Volt is part of the pan-European movement Volt Europe, which has representation and established parties in all European countries. It also has 5 representatives in the European Parliament, MPs in the Dutch Parliament, numerous mayors and councilors across Europe
