"All procedural actions that need to be carried out will be carried out. It is absurd that an administrative body does not register a political force behind which stand 400,000 Bulgarian voters. The will of the Bulgarian citizens stands much higher than the idea of the administrative body to limit their right to vote. The right to vote is enshrined in the Bulgarian Constitution.
This was stated to BNR MEP Ilhan Kyuchuk, who is part of the faction loyal to the honorary chairman of DPS Ahmed Dogan. His comment was in connection with the instructions from the CEC - to submit documents that DPS is not part of either of the two associations with which the two camps in the Movement submitted applications for the early parliamentary elections.
DPS is one, there are not two DPS, Kyuchyuk was categorical. And questioned Delyan Peevski's membership in DPS:
"Where does he belong? His attitude towards DPS as a party member is also the product of a falsification. All the problems of DPS started from there. Where is member Peevski? We still haven't found out where the member is. I don't know. He can probably fabricate himself somewhere and say he's been a member for 3 or 5 years. We all knew that Mr. Peevski over the years was the civilian quota of the DPS. According to the party statute, to be a member somewhere means to submit an application for membership by residence. So far I have not seen his memberships - somewhere he declared that he is a member of a local organization. If there was information to the contrary, perhaps I would find out about it".
Many fake things have happened recently in DPS and this was one of the fakes, the MEP explained.
"When impossible things are promised through various mechanisms, it comes to this - it weakens the collective spirit. When the collective spirit weakens, it happens because the parties work on the basis of trust.
DPS is a party of the legal order, we do not dispense justice, he reminded and emphasized that there is a control commission. "She should have been referred, why not? If the control commission's decision does not favor the given party, it can also seek justice through the court".
In the show "Sunday 150" Ilhan Kyuchuk was adamant that the cause is much higher than the personal ego and interest of anyone:
"DPS cannot be a distribution company for the interests of one or the other. The choice is between being free or being held by something. I prefer to be free. The resistance will be very serious. No one has been able to stand against the free spirit of the people. And Peevski will not succeed".
We realized late that we had a problem with Peevski, he admitted and noted their fault for it. "This fear, when it was not with us, we did not feel it, but it existed in a not small part of society,", commented the MEP.
According to him, however, for the creation of the "phenomenon" Peevski not only DPS can be held responsible. According to him, he is a product of political power that was generated in Bulgaria.
"We, with our 12-13%-14%, cannot be holders of all power. The DPS elector cannot be accused of overreaching his power. We don't need power other than legitimate. The opposite means to create a parallel reality that is outside of us and our understanding of democracy and control of institutions in a legitimate way".
"I don't want to believe that the Supreme Court can be captivated to such an extent, but the data that is presented to the National Assembly, to the competent committee, if it is confirmed - it is sinister. I have, unfortunately, some bad feeling - that such influence can be exercised or is being exercised, listening to Peevski's avatars freely say "This issue will be resolved in YOU, because we are strong there and hold things,", expressed doubts Ilhan Kyuchuk. And the right way against this, according to him, is struggle. According to him, they are aware of what they are facing. According to him, however, this is not only a problem of DPS.
I believed that Bulgaria had its internal political resources to deal with these problems without turning to the international community, but unfortunately I was wrong, he stated. According to him, we will increasingly have to lean on our international partners when basic situations in the democratic functioning of the state need to be corrected.
"DPS will appear in these elections. We will enter the National Assembly, but we will enter with the clear idea that the DPS will reform and emerge much stronger from this crisis. No one can impose some kind of "New beginning" on us, Kyuchyuk was categorical. According to him, Ahmed Dogan will have a significant role in the election campaign.
We do not assume with whom we will form a coalition and how we will work, but our main red line is this - what is the attitude of the parties and their leaders towards Delyan Peevski, he noted and stated:
"Without a plan, without a program, without a clear commitment to what a government wants to do - we will not give our trust. We will not sign a blank check".
