Petko Georgiev: This crisis is criminal, not political. DPS has organized an influence trading group - 1

This crisis is criminal, not political. It cannot be solved by political means. DPS has organized an influence peddling group. Two clans are fighting in it – one dominates the justice system more than the other. No elections and new national assemblies can solve this conflict. This was stated by the journalist Petko Georgiev on the air of BNT.

In his words, a very indicative factor is whether the SJC will start a procedure for electing a new chief prosecutor: “If it does so now, it means that someone does not feel safe and wants to protect himself for one prosecutor's term in the future.&rdquo ;

According to PR expert Diana Damyanova, the precedent we are in with the DPS, and probably with the BSP, is not a precedent at all.

Journalist Ilhan Henday thinks: “DPS is evil. Unfortunately, we should not go only on the DPS route, but also include the other players in the parliament as a package. The evil is also in other institutions, not only in the National Assembly. If it is on the agenda for society to discuss whether DPS should have it, it is proper to discuss the other formations as well, incl. the great hope “We continue the change”. Things are so bad that we should not expect a high voter turnout, that is, it is possible to go to new elections after the new elections.”

„All parties should remove the top 50 from their assets and give way to younger and more literate ones. The parties have been turned into corporations, everything is connected with money,”, added Hendaye.

Georgiev thinks that it should be clear who plays what role in Bulgarian politics: “The fact that for the first time we will have elections in which the BSP and DPS will not be what they were before is a great opportunity. DPS costs Bulgaria five years delaying our membership in the EU.”

Damianova added that the establishment of the DPS was once important because it helped to avoid ethnic conflict in our country.

”GERD, “Revival” and President Rumen Radev will benefit the most from the collapse of the DPS and BSP”, Georgiev also said.
