The Central Election Commission (CEC) registers during today's meeting “ BSP – United Left“ to participate in the early parliamentary vote on October 27. During the meeting, which is broadcast online, "for" 14 of the committee members voted, broadcast by BTA.
BSP's applications for registration for the upcoming vote caused controversy during yesterday's CEC meeting. The reason was an application submitted by the acting chairman of the BSP, Atanas Zafirov, to withdraw the application for the party to appear independently, submitted by proxies of the resigned chairman of the Socialists, Kornelia Ninova. Zafirov has requested that the signature and accompanying documents be returned to him.
This happened after the decision of the Supreme Court of Cassation, which deleted Cornelia Ninova as the chairperson and representative of the BSP and entered as representative the deputy chairperson, appointed as acting chairperson Atanas Zafirov.
Yesterday, Zafirov came to the CEC to register for participation in the "BSP - United Left" elections.
