Bulgarian firefighters celebrate their professional holiday, NOVA reported.
Every year it is celebrated on September 14, but this time the official events will be a day earlier.
By tradition, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and uniformed officers will lay wreaths and flowers in front of the memorial plaque to the firefighters who died in the line of duty. Vodosvet will also be served.
The date September 14 is designated as a professional holiday for employees of the Main Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population". in 1995 by decision of the Council of Ministers, thus restoring the tradition from the time of the first firemen's meeting in 1905.
